What is ozProtect?
ozProtect is a comprehensive platform for game server administrators and owners, built to simplify server management, player moderation, and activity analysis through a single centralized web panel.
Games and readiness
ozProtect uses a shared game catalogue; actual capabilities depend on the adapter and version. Rust has an Oxide/uMod extension, DayZ uses a mod/bridge and Minecraft has Java adapters with a locally verified Paper target. Backend IDs for GTA V, Counter-Strike and SCUM do not establish released plugins.
See games and adapters, Minecraft and its readiness matrix.
The Problem
Game server owners typically rely on dozens of separate plugins that work independently, create unnecessary complexity, and consume server resources. Assembling a fragmented moderation stack is time-consuming and error-prone.
The Solution
ozProtect connects to your game servers through a dedicated plugin that communicates with the ozProtect Network — a distributed backend that processes all data and serves the web panel. Instead of managing a fragmented stack, you get one integrated solution with all core tools in one place.
Key Capabilities
- Player Profiles — Detailed overview of each player's activity across your entire infrastructure
- Communication Systems — Chat history, reports, and direct messaging
- Inspections — Organized workflow for initiating, managing, and documenting player inspections
- Moderation Tools — Global bans, IP bans, mutes, auto-kick rules, and shared ban lists
- Alerts — Automatic notifications for suspicious player joins (VPN, dirty IPs, cross-project bans)
- Analytics — Audit logs, staff statistics, server health metrics, and geographic distribution
- Integrations: Anti-cheat systems, Discord notifications, HTTP and Socket.IO APIs
- Team Management — Staff accounts, permission groups, granular access control
- Game-Specific Features — Drawings management (Rust), and more per-game tools
Architecture
Network connects panels and game extensions through HTTP and Socket.IO. SSO owns central accounts; Rust AntiCheat has a separate backend. Account, moderation and service administration interfaces have different permissions and responsibilities.
The component and data-flow map covers .land, .web, .cp, .node, .sso, game adapters and checkers. The ozProtect team hosts Network; service access does not distribute backend source.
Who Is It For?
- Server Owners who want centralized control over multiple servers and games
- Moderation Teams that need consistent tools and workflows
- Admins who require deep player behavior analysis
- Multi-Game Projects that want to reduce plugin clutter and improve performance
Available sections/actions depend on the game, subscription, permissions and component readiness. Access and subscriptions are separate checks.
